Einbeck

Here's the a Layout Pan we had to do for class, going from left to right. The entire drawing is about 30 inches long and about 10 inches high. For the pan we had to do some ancient or historical civilization, so I chose medieval Germany. Its not too ancient but it still worked. I specifically chose to do the drawing based off the small town of Einbeck in North-Central Germany. It is merely inspired and uses elements from the town, but overall the map of the town looks nothing like it. The tower with the cage, at the end of the pan is the focal point of the scene. In history, the cage on this tower was used to torture Heinrich Diek, after he was accused of burning down just about all of Einbeck.
