Digital Painting Workshop with Peter Chan (Intensive)
Taught using Photoshop for students of all levels

In this intensive 3-day workshop, students will be taught fundamental concepts
of developing a strong working value painting using shape design, lighting, and
compositional techniques. They will apply this knowledge to create digital paintings using
digital tools in Photoshop. The workshop will also cover basic
tools and work space set up before a painting begins. Students will begin painting
using value and build up to a fully rendered value painting through the 3 days.
Spots are limited to 6 students.

Mandatory Materials: Students must have a working laptop and wacom tablet or equivalent for this workshop.

Digital Illustration Workshop with Peter Chan (Intensive)
Taught using Photoshop for students of intermediate level

In this intensive 3-day workshop, students will be introduced to applying their learned
fundamental knowledge of digital painting and take their work to a finished level. This
workshop will have a heavier focus on color and compositional design in achieving a
successful illustration. Students will build on top of their fundamental knowledge of a
strong value painting and take it to a finished color painting using proper lighting, color
theory, and composition techniques. They will create paintings and illustrations using digital
tools in Photoshop. The workshop will also cover the process of designing smaller elements
within an illustration for it to work as a full image.
Spots are limited to 6 students.
